The Itinerary of Babaji Cave From Rishikesh is as follows;

Day 1

After breakfast at our hotel, we will drive to a location called Rudraprayag Sangam. En route, visit a location called Vashishta Gufa as we travel here and there are special areas in India sacred for centuries because of their aura of spiritual energy that attracts monks and devotees whose words of wisdom open our minds and hearts. Later today we will head over to Devprayag Sangam. As we arrive there you can enjoy visiting the association of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers which is filled with an ancient cultural heritage. When it’s time feel free to explore the area near your accommodation that’s surrounded by many restaurants or take some time out reading a book or relaxing somewhere together with friends before heading off tomorrow getting ready for another day of adventure!

Day 2

Upon arrival, proceed to Badrinath Temple via Nandprayag, Karnprayag, Vishnuprayag, and Joshimath. Check into your hotel and then visit the main shrine of Sri Badrinarayan Temple at 3,100 meters on the banks of the Alaknanda River. This historic shrine was founded by Adi Shankara during the 7th century AD and is devoted to Lord Badrinarayan/Vishnu. The statue of Sri Badrinarayan is believed to be found by Adi Shankara himself along the Alaknanda Riverbank in Joshimath and later visit Changdev Mandal. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to Gwaldam via Pipalkoti, Karnprayag, during which you will stop by one of the oldest Himalayan temples in India, the Joshimath Temple (winter shrine of Lord Vishnu), dating back to around 700 AD. Gwaldam is a blissful hill station famous for ancient Hindu temples and Buddhist Khamba temples as well as natural areas like forests and waterfalls. Overnight stay at Gwaldam.

Day 4

We’ll travel first thing in the morning to Kausani for our next exploration of the area. During the trip there, we’ll take in a stop at a Buddhist temple as well as the Baijnath and Bageshwar temples. We’ll also visit Mahatma Gandhi’s ashram so that you can learn more about the Indian struggle for independence from Britain. Check into our hotel once we arrive at Kausani and stay there for one night.

Day 5

After a tasty breakfast, we will be heading to Mahavatar Babaji’s cave via Dwarahat and Kukuchina. The cave is about 3 kilometers away from the village of Kukuchina. There would be a small 2-kilometer trek down from Kukuchina to the cave itself. After visiting Baba Ji’s cave, we’ll head back on foot towards Kausani (1-2 hours). Along the way make sure to stop at the YSS Meditation Hut by Baba Ji Cave. This is where Lahiri Mahasaya also meditated for many years during his search for the cosmic soul. Along with spending some time in meditation, we will also pass by many temples, namely Badrinath Temple and Gopeshwar Temple. Finally, before arriving at Kausani, we will also pass by Dunagiri Mata Temple.

Day 6

Morning breakfast at our hotel, check out, and drive to the most beautiful hill station in India: Nainital. On the way we will stop at the Jageshwar Dham, a more than a 2,000-year-old group of 120 temples dedicated to Lord Shiva; there we will also stop at Kainchi Dham where Neem Karoli Baba lived until his death in 1973, and Steve Jobs, as well as other famous business tycoons, have made their presence felt. Upon arrival, check in to our hotel and stay overnight.

Day 7

After breakfast at Hotel, we will visit some important local spots of Nainital hill station like Naina Devi Mandir, Bhimtal lake, etc. Later we will check out and transfer to railway station, Kathgodam (12039)- Departure – at 15:35/ Arrival – 21:10 ) at New Delhi Station or drive straight to New Delhi Station with the same driver.
