Dwarahat YSS

Dwarahat is a beautiful city which is located high up in the Himalayas, and it provides the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. When we wake, we’ll head off on an excursion to explore, seek out, and appreciate the breathtaking landscape, taking pictures as appropriate with our guide so that we can remember this experience fondly years later. After that, you can follow your own pace throughout the rest of the day. It’s important to remember that there are many interesting attractions worth visiting – if you decide to explore Dwarahat while in town, including places such as Dunagiri Mata Temple mentioned above as well as other wonderful sites. If time permits before returning back to our hotel for dinner, feel free to visit any or all of these places around Dwarahat before heading back to where we’ll spend our evening relaxing after a long day!

Day 1

A warm and happy breakfast sets you off in the morning as you bid farewell to this wonderful city of Rishikesh. The distance between Rishikesh and Dwarahat is close to 280 km, so it takes anywhere from 8 to 10 hours by road depending on time spent on the way making pit stops at Vahishta cave, Devprayag Sangam, Rudraprayag Sangam. Throughout your drive, you have no choice but to fill up your tank with gas because Mahavatar Babaji cave is said to have immense peace. Not just saints, people visit this cave for its peace capabilities. One doesn’t actually need to be religious or spiritual to visit it- though that obviously helps!

Day 2

Trekking up Mahavatar Babaji cave after the tail end of the road is very important. Later, you’ll be able to take your time in handling other things. You’ll trek back to reach the vehicle after hiking for 2 kilometers, which will connect us back to our Hotels in Dwarahat. If there is some time remaining, feel free to pay a visit to the famous Dunagiri Mata temple located near Dwarahat town before dinner & lights off!

Day3

Today will be a light-hearted day, one to relax and unwind in the peaceful quietness of the Himalayas. So saddle up and get ready for a leisurely road trip.  Today will be a very laid-back excursion. We’ll try to do as little as possible and just enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings those temples have to offer. After gearing up, we will drive back to Rishikesh, on the way we’ll get an afternoon bite at ‘yoga break’. Later on, we will check out, and begin our drive back to Rishikesh. All in all, today seems like a pretty amazing day so we won’t be doing very much of anything! 🙂
