Projected Scheduled Itinerary

Day 1-

You would reach in in Rishikesh on your own. We would suggest you take a flight from Delhi to Dehradun (45 min from hotel). Most of the time flight is cheaper than hiring a car from Delhi to Rishikesh. There is alsoa morning train from New Delhi to Haridwar – Shatabdi train that arrives inHaridwar around 12:00 hrs. ( Haridwar to Rishikesh 1 hour road trip ) In theafternoon we hope to take a visit some Ashrams and explore the neighbourhoods of Ramjhula area along with Parmarth Niketan Ganga Arati.

Day 2-

After breakfast & check out, your journey starts into the Himalayas along with the bank of theriver Ganges, by transport climbing slowly above beautiful Ganga Valley, with following the river Ganges toward Devprayag, the meeting point of two holy& giant rivers Bhagirathi & Alaknanda. You make a stop there to visitan ancient temple of Lord Rama, Shri Raghunath Ji and touch down a point whereyou can touch the rivers waters and can get the blessings, later whileclimbing happens the most famousHimalayan floating temple, known as Dhari Devi Temple in the midst of the AlaknandaRiver. After about 6 hours of driving onzigzag roads your dinner and overnight in a hotel of Rudraprayag.

Day 3-

After breakfast & check out, you continue driving intothe Himalaya, as lofty mountains views, unfold. After about 7 hours driving, youwill be reaching at Shri Badrinath, atan elevation of 10,000 feet, deeplocated and beautiful. Afternoon, if time allows, you make a visit to the southstyle structured colourful temple of ShriBadrinath Ji, which enshrines the sacred statue discovered in the Narad Kund,a holy hot water spring, located by the temple by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9thcentury..

Day 4-

After breakfast, an appointment with the chief priest of the Shri Badrinath Ji and you can do prayers and meditate at the temple earlymorning. Later drive 20 km for the Mana village, the last village of India You may meditate there in a holy cave where Sage VedVyasa is said to have compiled Mahabharata in words. And, Swargrohini a “Stairway to Heaven” symbolizes the route the Pandava brothers walked; Bhima Bridge is a kind of boulder over a narrow fast flowing Saraswati river. Hence themythical hero Bhima, who placed so his brothers could cross the Saraswati. Later, drive back to Badrinath Ji town, dinnerand overnight.

Day 5-

You can pay a visitto the Badrinath temple for the early morning Maha Abhishek Puja, led byBadrinath’s chief priest Shri Rawal Ji but there is paid entry to be a part ofthe Puja will be your own expenses. Later you walk into the Neelkanth Mountains Valley, where Sanaysi and Yogis live very simple and disciplinedlife. Bramha Kapala is a place on thebank of the river Alaknanda where departed souls are blessed by Shri BadrinathJi, so pilgrims come for the Pind Pradana, a special prayer is done for the departedsoul here and prayed for, and you offeryour own prayer and blessings at thisspot. In free time you can visit for the Narad Kund for bathing in the hotsprings, located just below the temple.

Day 6-

Meditation in the premises of the temple, breakfast at the hotel. Today you go to spend a longer timein the Mana village area, and those who prefer can go further by walk the Swargrohini “Stairway to Heaven” as far as VasundharaFalls—a 5 km mix of hike and climb. Rest of the day, you spend exploring by walks the town and nearby hills at your ownpace. Dinner & overnight.

Day 7-

After breakfast &check out you’ll start to drive down the hill from the Shri Badrinath Ji. En-route, at Joshimath, a visit Joshi Mutt temple & Ashram, then, meditate in the same cave, where Adi Shankaracharya Mediated, where he is saidto have attained the profound spiritual knowledge. It is a very place, where He established a monastery out of the four monasteries at the four cardinal directions of India. You can expect to reach late afternoon at Rudraprayag andstay there a night.

Day 8-

After breakfast & check out, you start your travel anddrive from Rudraprayag to Rishikesh. Along the way back to Rishikesh, there areseveral points that compel you to stopto admire amazing Himalayan stretch of the river Ganga. The Sage Vashist’s cave is a large & a very spiritually powerful cave, is a favourite place for the meditation that of the ancient Sage Vashishta; and you invest your time there in the large cave, lies beside theriver. In the afternoon you expect to reach in Rishikesh, and have dinner & overnight.

Day 9-

Morning Breakfast & check out, visit If time permits youcan walk roadside located domed shape Kriya Yoga Ashram, Rishikesh, was builtusing the astronomical & numerical calculations of Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri.SwamiSivanand, who came to Rishikesh in 1924, re-establishing the town Rishikesh as the holy & spiritualnow known as “capital of yoga.” You visit the Ashram, have free time to meditate at Sivananda’s Samadhi place. Laterdrive to Haridwar, walk Swami Keshavanand Ashram, were enshrined the ashes ofLahiri Mahashaya, then Samadhi place of Anandamayi Ma, immortalized in Autobiographyof a Yogi followed by Haridwar GangaAarti. Have dinner & overnight in Haridwar.

Day 10-

After breakfast, depart from Haridwar on your own. Transportto Dehradun airport provided for those taking the suggested flight. There arealso both morning and evening Shatabdi trains Haridwar to New Delhi.

Physical fitness for this trip

There are a good number of stone stairs at various attractions. Moreover, at the door of the temple, you are obliged to take off shoes at doorsteps. You can take them slowly but they can’t be avoided. you’ll also consider a moderate amount of walking as a group or as solo. Here, in Rishikesh, most of attractions can only be approached by walks or with a good number of stone stairs at many attractions.
